Warm Artichoke and Spinach Dip
I just love all kinds of dips and sauces. I also love garlic, cheese, artichokes, spinach… When I came across this recipe at allrecipes.com I just had to try it! I ended up modifying it a bit and it just tastes great with fresh baguette, tortilla chips or really with anything! Hahahha…
These are the ingredients:
8 oz /230 g Cream Cheese
1/4 cup Creme Fraise
1/4 cup Parmesan
1/2 cup Cheddar (half goes on top, half gets mixed into the dip)
1 (14 ounce) jar/can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1-2 garlic cloves
2 tbsp fresh basil chopped
1/4 tsp garlic salt
Salt to taste
Please check FAQ if you need help converting the measurements.
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Prep your spinach.
3. Grade the cheeses. Peel and grade the garlic. Chop the basil. Chop the artichokes.
4. Mix together cream cheese, creme fraise, Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic, basil and garlic salt. Stir in artichoke hearts and spinach. I like to blend the whole thing with a hand blender but you can also leave it with a rough texture and just mix in the artichoke hearts and spinach with a spoon. Check the flavour and add salt and possibly more garlic if needed.
5. Pour the mixture in to a baking dish. Top with cheddar cheese. Bake in the preheated oven 25 minutes, until bubbly and lightly browned.
